Transform your town

Apr 4, 2019High Wycombe events

Spring has officially sprung!

Together with Chiltern Rangers, Friends of the Wye and Revive the Wye, we’re taking to the streets to transform High Wycombe. From litter picking and bunting installs, to environmental improvements and seasonal planting – the project has been made possible by a last minute grant from Wycombe District Council.

Discussing the event, our BID manager Melanie Williams said “This is an example of partnership working at its best; we are delighted to be able to deliver a project that benefits businesses in the Town Centre and also recognise the invaluable role that community groups play in our Town Centre. They do incredible work that benefits us all”

The first of our Spring Clean events was held on Friday 29 March and included widespread litter picking activities across the entire town centre. We’re now gearing up for our second event which is set to take place on Wednesday 17 April and will include cleaning and maintaining three sites where the river means the town centre. There’s plenty of ways for the kids to get involved, with Chiltern Rangers making bird boxes in the high street.

Volunteers will be meeting outside the Guildhall at 10am – kit and lunch will be provided. To get involved or register as a volunteer, please visit our Facebook page or email info@melaniew4.sg-host.com
