Judges are looking for businesses and individuals who demonstrate excellent customer service, strong links to the High Wycombe community, innovation or growth, professionalism, and a positive impact on customers, colleagues or the local area. Events, partnerships, charity work, testimonials and measurable achievements all help make a strong entry.
The categories
There are eight categories this year, covering every part of the town centre’s business community:
- Independent Retailer of the Year: for independent shops bringing originality, service and local identity to the high street
- National Retailer of the Year: for national brands delivering excellent service and a positive local impact
- Professional Sector Excellence: for professional services businesses showing expertise, care and trust
- Hospitality Business of the Year: for bars, pubs, cafés and restaurants that offer a warm welcome and support the town centre economy
- Best Family Fun Venue: for venues creating memorable, family-friendly experiences
- Health, Beauty & Wellbeing Business: for outstanding treatments, services and customer care
- Superhero Recognition Award: for an individual who goes above and beyond for colleagues, customers or the community

Don’t forget the People’s Choice Award
Alongside the seven categories above, shoppers, residents and visitors are also voting for their favourite High Wycombe business in the People’s Choice: Business of the Year award. This category is decided by public vote rather than business entry, so once you’ve entered your business, encourage your customers, staff and followers to cast their vote too.
