Frogmoor Gardens
Bloomin’ marvelous: how our temporary garden project helped transform the town…
For years there has been a great debate about the future of the Frogmoor area. Originally a green space, the changing nature of the town centre meant that it became more utilitarian over time. We decide to test the idea for a temporary garden in a way that brought the community together. From commissioning inmates at a local prison to build the garden structure, to working with BCA students to help plant it out, this project was a real group effort.
The finished garden was amazing and transformed the use of the space during the spring and summer months. When the project came to an end, we donated the raised vegetable beds to the Disraeli Primary School.
