Expanding the Events Calendar
We deliver a compelling calendar of events in the town centre. We have ideal event spaces throughout the town and we will continue to increase footfall and trade through these areas. Post-pandemic we have learned that animation through ‘little and often’ events is desirable and works to support businesses, but we will also continue to commit to three big events each year to raise the profile of the town centre.
Dressing
We take charge of town centre dressing and animation projects. Using the MyWycombe branding we continue to make High Wycombe an attractive trading environment for local businesses. This includes dressing vacant units, supporting street art and murals, bunting, banners, flags, planters and pop-up dressing projects.
Pop-up Events
A key advantage of the business community is that we can be innovative, experimental and react and adapt quickly. We continue to trial new events and look for the best events to help High Wycombe get ahead.
Public Space Utilisation
We currently manage public space under the Guildhall and in Frogmoor. We look for ways to better utilise these spaces and raise income – for example, through filming. We measure success through our footfall counters and town centre Wi-Fi data. See footfall reports here.
