What is a BID
HWBIDCo is a Business Improvement District (BID). A BID is not for profit organisation that represents the local business community and works to promote and improve a defined area – we work within High Wycombe town centre. We are governed by a Board of directors and funded by a levy from BID businesses. This money is then reinvested in local projects and events within High Wycombe town centre.
BIDs are democratically elected and following a successful YES vote in 2022, HWBIDCo’s mandate was renewed for a further 5 years.
There are currently over 330 BIDs operating in the UK.
Our Priorities
We are a not-for-profit partnership which exists to protect High Wycombe’s businesses, celebrate the town’s heritage and help provide a positive experience for those that visit, shop, live and study in the town centre.
In 2022 local business voted to renew to see HWBIDCo continue for a further five-year term. Working in consultation with BID members we have identified five key themes to help guide projects over the next five years.
