What we do

High Wycombe is an historic market and university town set in beautiful countryside with buckets of community spirit and hundreds of years of history. High Wycombe BID was established in 2012 with a vision to ensure that the trading environment in the town was constantly improving.

Our mission is to make High Wycombe a better place to shop, work and visit. During our first term, High Wycombe BID invested in additional services and management of the town centre to ensure its prosperity. In the last five years we’ve worked on Wycombe’s image and vibrancy and navigated the stormy waters of a pandemic. We have fast-tracked grants and support, and attracted additional above-levy income of £417,000, bringing the total amount invested in our work to approximately £1.3m.

High Wycombe BID is now firmly established as a key partner in the management of the town centre and is respected by government and industry partners at local, regional and national levels. There is much to do and equally a lot to lose, as we seek to influence the agenda and maximise the opportunity for business.

Our Business Plan sets out our priorities over the next five years. We are asking for your support to ensure that High Wycombe remains and grows as a vibrant and professionally managed destination until 2027.

Our Priorities

We are a not-for-profit partnership which exists to protect High Wycombe’s businesses, celebrate the town’s heritage and help provide a positive experience for those that visit, shop, live and study in the town centre.

In 2022 local business voted to renew to see HWBIDCo continue for a further five-year term. Working in consultation with BID members we have identified five key themes to help guide projects over the next five years.
