New family trail launched

Jul 3, 2020News, Business news

Join us for a monstrously super family day out and help us raise money for the NHS!

We’re launching a new family-fun ‘Safari’ town centre story-trail to help support the NHS and give families a ‘safe reason’ to return to the High Street.

We’ve hidden 10 monster superheroes around High Wycombe town centre and it’s your job to find them! The Safari, which launches on the 11th July 2020, works by using contactless NFC technology and QR codes, without the need for players to download or sign up to anything. Using only a smartphone, participants simply need to tap or scan to play. Learn the names, stories and powers of all 10 cute and colourful MonsterHeroes to unlock your free ebook about their first team-up adventure.

There is a nominal platform cost of [£2] per family taking part, with donations going to NHS Charities Together.

To take part simply:

Tap any character and pay/donate

Hunt down the monstrous superheroes

Learn their names, stories and powers by tapping with NFC or scanning QR codes

When you’ve found them all you will unlock your very own ebook

Over 100 BIDs and councils across the UK are taking part in the Monster Hero Safari project, which has been sponsored by Wild in Art, with the aim of raising over £100k for NHS Charities Together.

Discussing the trail, our Chief Executive Officer Melanie Williams said “We are proud to be one of the many towns participating in this national campaign to help the High Street. By joining in, you can raise much needed funds for the NHS and support our local businesses at the same time. Some of our local shops are situated in parts of town which are less familiar to those who only visit Eden shopping centre. We don’t want to spoil the fun by giving the game away, but those taking part might want to start looking in some of the following areas: Castle Street, Crendon St, Desborough Road, Easton St, Eden Shopping Centre, High Street and Priory Road. We really hope to encourage visitors to explore the whole town centre whilst also enjoying a fun and rewarding activity.”
