Eden Shopping Centre has solidified its reputation as a vibrant hub for shopping, dining, and entertainment with the arrival of 13 new brands and over 155,000 sq ft of fresh retail, leisure, and hospitality space.
In 2024, Eden welcomed 12.8 million visitors – a 7.5% increase on the previous year and a 9.5% rise from 2022. Alongside this footfall growth, several existing retailers invested significantly in their spaces, with seven tenants completing refurbishments averaging £250,000 per unit. These upgrades highlight Eden’s importance as a key retail and leisure destination for Buckinghamshire and beyond.
The year saw big-name arrivals creating plenty of excitement. Primark opened its doors, alongside Sports Direct and TeamSport’s indoor e-karting venue whilst Taco Bell also joined the line-up just in time for the festive season. As well as enhancing Eden’s already diverse offering – the new additions also brought around 200 new jobs to the area, giving the local economy a welcome boost.
Reflecting on the centre’s success, Andrew Norton, Eden’s Centre Director, said: “2024 has been a transformative year for Eden. From flagship openings to tenant refurbishments, the investment and commitment from our retailers have been outstanding. We’re excited to carry this momentum into 2025, enhancing our visitor experience and continuing to play a vital role in the community.”
Eden’s 2024 success wasn’t only about new arrivals and footfall figures, the centre also partnered with Heart of Bucks, a foundation supporting charities across the county. This meaningful collaboration will continue into 2025, helping Eden make an even bigger impact on local causes.
