We wanted to take this opportunity to update you on HWBIDCo events and activities in High Wycombe town centre.
In the interests of public safety and following Government advice, we have decided to cancel the following town centre events:
Team-up 2 Clean-up (19th March)
The Vegan Market (29th March)
VE Day (8th May)
FrogFest (24th May)
We are monitoring the situation closely and will keep you updated about all events scheduled beyond these four dates. Currently, there are many businesses still open in the town centre, however The Swan Theatre, Wycombe Arts Centre and Wycombe Museum are all closing their doors for the time being, with further information available on their websites.
At present the High Street Charter Market will continue to go ahead as usual on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. We will be monitoring which stakeholders and businesses will be open or closed over the coming weeks on our website. In addition, we will be sharing information on social media about any local schemes offering neighbourhood support or acts of kindness to those in need – do let us know if you are operating one of these and/or are doing anything new to provide for the community at this time.
The BID team will be operating as normal (with some home working) if you are a BID member and would like any information or advice on how to respond to the developing situation please do contact the office or Melanie Williams on 07501 683916 for more information.
This international crisis will eventually pass and we encourage everyone in the meantime to avoid panic buying and support the most vulnerable as much as possible.
