BUSINESS PARTNERSHIPS:

The Junction & Action4Youth

Action4Youth welcomes High Wycombe businesses to support ‘The Junction’ – the town centre Youth initiative

Based in High Wycombe’s library since opening in September 2021, ‘The Junction’ provides a regular timetable of sport, life skills, creative activities, as well as practical professional help in the form of counselling and mentoring for the town’s youth population.

With more 1000 attendances per month, the youth centre is flourishing, and showing true engagement with High Wycombe’s young people. As a unique public partnership between Action4Youth and Buckinghamshire Council, ‘The Junction’ works with many agencies and local businesses to support young people and reduce antisocial behaviour in the town, by providing a safe place with supported, structured activities.

Centre Manager, Ayo Akinolugbade, and his team work closely with all attendees – helping them to develop purpose, skills and focus, as well as providing a safe and supportive space.

During school holidays, the charity runs ‘HAF’ Sessions (Holiday Activities & Food) that include a hot meal for young people eligible for free school meals, with 136 young people benefitting over Easter 2023, helping their families manage already stretched budgets.

Action4Youth warmly welcomes all High Wycombe businesses looking to get involved and further develop their community ties through mutually beneficial partnerships – either funding, sponsoring or volunteering at Action4Youth’s vital projects at ‘The Junction’ and in schools throughout the Wycombe area.
